DESCRIPTION:Learn to draw a snail in traditional Coast Salish style with artist\, Andrea Fritz.\n\n\nJoin us for our next Coast Salish Art class with Andrea Fritz! This class will include a traditional story\, drawing practice of the basic Coast Salish shapes\, and a guided drawing of an animal from the story – the snail! \n\nLIVE ON: Thursday\, May 25th\, 2023\nLENGTH: 45-55 minutes\nDESIGNED FOR: Grade 2-5 – Everyone Welcome\n\nThis event can be enjoyed live through the Zoom Meeting and YouTube Livestream or via the recording at a time that works best for you. You will continue to have access to the event recording until the end of the current school year. \n\n\nAbout the Artist\nAndrea Fritz is a Coast Salish artist and author from the Lyackson First Nation of the Hul’qumi’num speaking Peoples on the West Coast of Canada. Andrea strives to express her People’s history and all our futures using her art. She focuses on animals and scenes of the West Coast of Canada and our intricate relationships with them. \n\n\nTickets by Donation\nYour generous donation will be used to support the ongoing development of our Indigenous Voices series of events and resources.  Reserve one ticket per class or family.
