EVENT ON DEMAND

Poetry Workshop

with Adrienne Gear

adrienne gear | Virtual poetry workshop

Live on Tuesday, April 18, 2023

In celebration of National Poetry Month, join BC Teacher and author Adrienne Gear as she leads students in a virtual poetry writing workshop.

Adrienne will begin with a brief introduction to poetry: what a poem looks like, sounds like, makes us think about, and makes us feel.  Then it’s time to write!  Using a theme of “Beauty in Nature”, Adrienne will model how to write an “Opposite Poem”.

Students will be encouraged to choose their own Earth Day inspired topic and try using rich language to describe the beauty of their opposites.

Tune in live or catch the recording at a time that works for your class.
